6. Release only when the exceptions have owners

Machine dimensions are not the final movement profile
Routing and permit decisions use the vehicle-and-load combination. A machine’s specification height does not answer the final loaded height, and machine weight does not answer gross vehicle weight or axle distribution. Trailer selection changes both.

Loading and securement require qualified, shipment-specific decisions
FMCSA’s cargo-securement guidance includes specific requirements for heavy vehicles, equipment, and machinery that operate on wheels or tracks and individually weigh 10,000 pounds or more. Other machinery may fall under those or general requirements depending on the item and movement.
